Keith Urban has reportedly told his wife Nicole Kidman he is ready to have a baby. The country singer - who married 'Moulin Rouge' star Nicole in June last year - was initially reluctant after 40-year-old Nicole publicly admitted she was desperate for a child, but has now come round to the idea of becoming a father.
A source close to the couple said: "Keith bought a white hand-knitted baby bootie tied with a yellow ribbon to show Nicole he is ready to have a baby. He was going to give it to Nicole on his birthday on October 26, but he got so excited that he gave it to her early."
"Keith says he finally realized just how much having a baby means to her."
Earlier this year, Nicole said while she wanted to have a baby, Keith wanted them to spend time alone as a couple first.
She said: "Keith knows I want a baby, and he has been getting there slowly. He told me he really wants a couple of years 'where I just have you.'"
Nicole already has two adopted children - 14-year-old Isabella, and 12-year-old Connor - with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
