Keith Richards says his Rolling Stones bandmate Sir Mick Jagger used to be "excruciatingly camp."

The 64-year-old guitarist admits he found Mick's homoerotic antics painful to watch, but claims it never hindered the band's success with women.

Keith told GQ magazine: "I mean, dickering and dangling. I'm not there watching it every day. But there was, at the time, a load of excruciatingly painful campness that went on."

"Obviously there was no shortage of women on tour with us though."

When asked about legendary rumors that Mick once enjoyed a night of passion with David Bowie, Keith refused to be drawn on the subject, simply saying: "I really have no idea."

The famously wild rocker - who last month labeled Mick a "power freak" and "a bit vain" - also revealed the band's attentive groupies took care of more than just their sexual needs.

He said: "It wasn't all boinky-boinky. They used to take care of you. They used to rub medicine on your chest if you had a cold."
