Katie Holmes will make her Broadway debut this autumn.

The 'Mad Money' actress will star in the New York revival of Arthur Miller's post-World War II play 'All My Sons'.

Holmes will appear on stage alongside John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.

Britain's Daily Mail columnist Baz Bamigboye said: "She will play the part of a woman who visits her former neighbors, the family of a missing pilot she once loved."

The former 'Dawson's Creek' star is keen to be recognised for her acting skills, not just for being the wife of Tom Cruise.

Kate - who married the 'Top Gun' actor in November 2006 - received critical acclaim for her performances in 'Batman Begins' and 'Thank You For Smoking', but decided to take a break from acting after giving birth to the couple's first child Suri in April 2006.

The brunette beauty made her big screen comeback earlier this year in the comedy heist 'Mad Money' alongside Queen Latifah.
