They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery but Katie Holmes is finding out that there is a negative side to the phrase.
The actress and wife of Scientologist Tom Cruise is struggling to keep her identity innocent beyond the bizarre TomKat headlines. An 18-year-old virgin, who has changed her name to Katee Holmes, has announced that she will have sex for the first time on screen.
Katie, the mother of one-year-old Suri, has a sweet and innocent persona that appealed to the budding porn star. However, Katee is aiming to associate herself with Mrs Cruise because of said characteristics.
Katee told the New York Post, "I know it's pretty extreme to lose my virginity on camera, but I like the fulfilment and excitement I get from watching porn, so I figured a movie was the best place for me to lose it. How many people wished they could relive their first experience, if not to remember it but to learn from it, right?"
The aspiring adult film star's comments have caught the attention of Katie's people. Her representative told the newspaper, "It's a really cheap shot. Katee is using the name as a tribute to Katie, who has always portrayed an innocence in everything she's done, beginning with 'Dawson's Creek.'"
A spokesperson for Tom, one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, said that Tom will be behind Katie if she choses to take legal action. The rep said, "Obviously, Tom would support Katie in anything she decides to do about it."
