Kate Winslet hates walking the red carpet.

The British actress - who has been nominated for this year's Best Actress Oscar for her part in 'The Reader' - can't enjoy awards ceremonies as she finds them so nerve-wracking.

She said: "One of the great, 'OK, you can breathe now moments,' is when you've gotten through the red carpet. It's like, 'Oh God, what if I trip over, what if I say something stupid, I wonder if they can see the big zit on my chin?'

Kate Winslet takes fashion advice from her eight-year-old daughter. The "Revolutionary Road" star says Mia - her child with ex-husband Jim Threapleton - disapproves of her wearing black too often and advised her on what to wear on a recent TV show.

Speaking on TV show "The View," Kate - wearing a fitted grey jacket over a black pair of trousers and shirt - said: "I have an eight-year-old daughter and she is a little bit of a fashionista. In fact, just the other night she said to me, "Mum, just a personal question. Why do you wear so much black?"

Angelina Jolie lost a pair of $1.6 million diamond earrings. The "Changeling" star left the Asprey jewelry she wore to the BAFTA Awards on Sunday in her suite at London's Dorchester Hotel when she left to return to the U.S.

The 33-year-old actress realized she had forgotten the earrings as she was preparing to board her flight and called hotel staff, begging them to search her suite.
