When Kate Walsh was on "Grey's Anatomy" her professional life was soaring yet her private life suffered.
Now that she has moved on to her own spin-off show, "Private Practice", her personal life is on the up and her work has stilted.
The "Grey's" spin-off is not doing as well as producers hoped, making them change the cast quickly before filming the first season. Merrin Dungrey, who starred on "Alias" has been taken out of the show after the pilot episode and replaced with Audra McDonald. Audra will play Kate's on-screen best friend, Dr Naomi Bennet.
While producers work hard to ensure the show is a hit, Kate is busy planning her wedding.
The 39-year-old actress became engaged to production co-president Alex Young after just three months of dating.
She told People, "[We've been together] since February. I know - I'm literally living the dream. But you know when you know. I was not expecting it, so it's kind of amazing."
The star has revealed that after the wedding, the newlyweds will have a quick tropical getaway and then return to work.
