Kate Moss says she is not a celebrity. The supermodel, whose turbulent love life with ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty has repeatedly hit the headlines, insists she doesn't actively court fame and doesn't consider herself a star.

She told Women's Wear Daily magazine: "I don't see myself as a celebrity, I do my job."

"I see being a celebrity as doing the red carpet, and things like that. I don't do that, I don't like that word."

Kate, 35, is currently preparing to launch her own perfume. The catwalk queen has teamed up with Coty Inc. to release her signature scent Kate by Kate Moss.

The new fragrance, along with a scented shower gel, body lotion and deodorant spray, is set to hit stores in the next few months.

Kate - who has been actively involved in the creation of the scent - believes it is the right career move for her following the success of her Topshop clothing line.

She said: "It's something I've thought of doing for a long time, but it just never felt right. But now it feels like the next natural step."

"I learned a lot about having to smell layers and picking out the different scents."

Kate describes the perfume as a blend of magnolia, peony, lily of the valley, heliotrope, rose petals, orange blossom, pink pepper, patchouli, musk and sandalwood.

Coty Inc. are predicting the perfume could generate more than $50 million in sales in its first year on the market. Kate is also in talks to release a line of hair care products.
