The ex's ex has weighed in on the Britney issue. Shar Jackson, Kevin Federline's ex-girlfriend, says the pop star's children with him are safe, as well as Federline himself.
"He's good," the 31-year-old Jackson tells People magazine. "I talked to him the other night and he's fine. He's just happy that the boys are safe. That's his biggest thing, making sure that the boys are in a good place and that they're happy. And they're happy."
Jackson says she remains close with her ex, speaking with him "all the time." They have two children together, Kori, 5, and Kaleb, 3.
And her advise for the troubled Spears? "I'm just one of those people that believe you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of anybody else," she says. "My only advice would be take care of yourself. If you need help for whatever reason, go get it. Do whatever you have to do for those babies."
Spears and Federline started dating before his youngest child with Jackson was born. They were married three months later and gave birth to two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. He currently has the sole legal and physical custody of the children shortly after Spears refused to give the boys back to Federline. A hearing on whether to resume the Gimme More singer's visitation right is set on Monday.
