Since Kevin Federline's music debut at a televised awards show didn't go too well, the wannabe rapper will try his hand at acting. K-Fed-who is married to Britney Spears-has signed up to star as a hoodlum teenager in an episode of the hit show "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
Describing his small screen role, Kevin said, "I play a little edgy dude."
He also revealed that Britney-who is expecting the couple's second child later this year-is "very, very excited" about his appearance.
The episode is scheduled to air in October.
Kevin, 28, is hoping that his acting debut will get more favorable reviews than his music debut at the Teen Choice Awards. He was mauled by the hip-hop community after debuting his song "Lose Control" at the event, in Los Angeles, in August.
Elliot Wilson, editor in chief of rap magazine XXL, said, "I just think we should ignore him. He's a joke, basically. I just don't think he gets it. It's hard to take him seriously."
Kevin's song included the lamentable lyrics "Don't hate because I'm a superstar! And I'm married to a superstar! Nothin' come between us no matter who you are!"
