Justin Timberlake has donated $200,000 to his birth town. The "SexyBack" singer has given Memphis two separate donations of $100,000 each to its Rock 'n' Soul Museum and Memphis Music Foundation.

The organizations will use the former 'N Sync singer's donations to improve music education for the students. Memphis, being home of founders and establishers of various music genres including Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and B.B. King, also aims to further achieve its mission of "telling the story of Memphis Music and perpetuating its legacy."

Timberlake says, "Music education and keeping the legacy of Memphis Music alive has always been important to me. That is why I will always continue to support my hometown the same way they have always supported me."

John Doyle of Memphis Rock 'n' Soul adds, "Justin Timberlake has never deserted Memphis. He has never stopped giving back to the community, to the local music industry, and to young people."
