Verne Troyer's sex tape is off the market for now. A federal judge has ordered a temporary restraining order that prevents the "Austin Powers" star's homemade porn to be distributed.
Troyer, 39, filed a $20 million suit against celebrity gossip website TMZ.com, porn tape broker Kevin Blatt and online adult-film rental company SugarDVD for violating his privacy and right to publicity, copyright and trademark infringement and misappropriation of name and likeness, after his stolen sex tape rounded the Web.
TMZ.com had posted a clip of the barely 3 ft. tall actor's 1-year-old sex tape with his then-girlfriend while reporting that SugarDVD offered Blatt a hundred thousand dollars for the tape.
U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez said Friday that Troyer had "demonstrated that he will suffer irreparable harm to his reputation" if the film is distributed. He said that he might impose a stricter ruling if the defendants cannot reason out why the film should be sold on the market.
