After making headlines nationwide for his wandering eye, Jude Law is now trying to fix the damage he made in his love life and move on. The actor admits he broke the law in his personal life and says he regrets cheating on his girlfriend Sienna Miller.
The "Alfie" star, who was dumped by actress Sienna after she discovered he was having an affair with his children's nanny, has revealed he apologized profusely for his infidelity and insists he refused to run away and hide from his mistake.
He told GQ magazine, "I didn't want to hurt anyone. I've apologized to the people I think matter in that situation. There's not really an awful lot more I can do or say. You can't run away. You have to take it on the chin and learn somehow to hold your head up high and face up to it."
The 33-year-old actor insists he has spent enough time saying sorry for his infidelity and is not prepared to continue to "torture" himself.
He said, "You can't spend your life apologizing. You can hold your hands up and say 'I f***ed up.' You can do everything in your power to make that pain better. But what kind of person would to be to spend the rest of your life torturing yourself? Your responsibility is to show you've learned from it and admitted to it. Then move on and don't do it again."
Jude has now rekindled his relationship with Sienna and feels that his life is back on track.
He explained, "It feels like the cards are settling and I'm getting a sense of calm in personal and public life. Things are good. I'm more cynical, but I've also learned to be more bullet proof. People say 'You're not so golden now.' I never said I was golden anyway."
