Hollywood heartthrob Josh Hartnett is heading to London's West End. The "Black Hawk Down" is set to star in a new stage version of "Rain Man."

The 29-year-old actor will play Charlie Babbitt, a selfish yuppie famously played by Tom Cruise in the 80s film version. Harnett will make his debut at the Apollo Theater on August 28.

He says in a statement about his upcoming stage debut, "While I've had many opportunities, it was only when I read the complex and charismatic character of Charlie Babbitt that I knew the time was right."

He will star alongside Adam Godley in the play. David Grindley will direct.

1988 drama film "Rain Man" also starred Dustin Hoffman. It received eight Oscars nomination and won four, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Hoffman, Best Director and Best Screenplay.
