"Napoleon Dynamite" star Jon Heder isn't a heartthrob like Brad Pitt or George Clooney, but that hasn't stopped legions of female fans vying for his affections.
The actor, who played the loveable loser Napoleon in the indie hit, told Elle magazine that he got a lot more attention after the film was released.
Asked if there was a "buffet" of girls at his disposal, Heder says, "Maybe there was a buffet at some location that my bus just did not reach. But yeah, there was definitely this 'I love you! I love you!' this and that."
However, the extra attention escaped the Mormon who has been married to his college sweetheart, Kirsten, for the past five years. The couple is awaiting the arrival of their first child.
Heder told the magazine, "You don't want to hook up with all those greasy girls. And they don't want you. They want Napoleon. And I wasn't about to go back to that perm."
After ditching the drab hairstyle and returning to his everyday life, the actor revealed that he occasionally fights with his girl... but about minor things, such as, "how bad she is at Zelda on Nintendo... I don't know if it's the best thing for our marriage, but our desire to play outweighs our doubt."
But Heder isn't too far removed from the essence of "Napoleon." The star revealed how he acquired his own sense of fashion.
He said, "I had my first kiss when I was 17 or 18. The second time we kissed I got a little excited and I was wearing these really loose shorts that didn't leave much to the imagination. I tried to angle my body away and divert her eyes by saying, 'Hey, look at the stars.' From then on I wore tighter jeans."
Heder stars in the upcoming "Blades Of Glory" with Will Farrell.
