Tom Cruise has long been the most vocal supporter of Scientology. But there is another celebrity who jumping on the bandwagon.
John Travolta is also a member of the controversial church, started by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard in the 1950s. The "HairSpray" star has been using his promotional tour of the camp musical to discuss the religion and support his friend Tom.
After Brooke Shields' public battle with post-natal depression, Tom attacked the use of medication as a way of battling the serious illness. John has now come out and revealed that he agrees with the superstar's views.
He told W magazine, "I don't disagree with anything Tom says. How would I have presented it? Maybe differently than how he did, but it doesn't matter. I still think that if you analyze most of the school shootings, it is not gun control...It is (psychotropic) drugs at the bottom of it."
Scientology prohibits the use of drugs and engages a mind-over-matter theory of recovery.
Other celeb Scientologists include Kirstie Alley, Lisa Marie Presley and Jenna Elfman.
