John Stamos has done just what the doctor ordered and had a rest.
The "E.R." star humiliated himself while doing a press tour in Australia at the end of June, stumbling his way through press and TV interviews. His trip Down Under was soon cut short and he was rushed back to the U.S.
Now, John is setting the record straight and insisting that alcohol was not involved in his bizarre behavior. He told TVGuide.com, "I was not drinking. I did not drink either morning. I do not have an alcohol problem. I am not David Hasselhoff. This is not a pattern."
According to the actor, it was the sleeping pill Ambien and a 'full house' of travel that put his mind out of whack. John traveled between the U.S, Greece, Japan and Australia in a short amount of time and the result was a crazy interview on Australian morning television.
John explained, "By the time I got to Australia, my body was so out of whack."
But the single actor has learned from his mistake. He said, "Now I know that Ambien is an eight-hour sleeping pill, so if you take it, you better get eight hours sleep."
The star says he hopes that the people from Australia can forgive and forget his behavior because he hopes to retire in the country eventually.
