Jennifer Aniston is planning a star-studded 40th birthday party. The former "Friends" actress, who reaches the landmark age on February 11, wants to celebrate early with a lavish bash at her new Beverly Hills home on February 7.

The guest list will include Jennifer's boyfriend John Mayer, her close pal Courteney Cox and her husband David Arquette and singer Sheryl Crow.

John Mayer will propose to Jennifer Aniston on her birthday. The "Gravity" singer is planning to ask the "Friends" actress to marry him when she turns 40 on February 11, and has even invested in a custom made engagement ring for her.

A source told America's Star magazine: "Money's no object for John. He didn't want to buy something that anyone else had, so he sketched it and is having it custom-made."

Jennifer Aniston's first dog hated her. The 39-year-old pet lover - who shares the screen with a golden retriever in her new movie "Marley and Me" - insists she had bad experiences with her poodle pal in her younger days.

She said: "My first pet was Demetri, a white poodle. But he did not like me much because I would always pull on its tail. But I was three, I thought he was a toy."

Now Aniston plans on ringing in the New Year with the Arquette gang also. She has flown to Los Cabos in Mexico to spend the holiday with them. Aniston isn't the only one planning on welcoming in 2009 from Mexico.
