| Mark Ronson once had a sleepover at Michael Jackson's house. The DJ-and-producer, whose stepfather was Mick Jones from rock band Foreigner, moved to the US as a child and became friends with Michael and John Lennon's son Sean. | |
| Tom Cruise is planning to visit the Abbey Road studios made famous by The Beatles. The 'Collateral' star is a massive fan of the Fab Four, and will take time off from shooting his latest film 'Valkyrie' in Germany to visit the north London studios the band used to record many of their most famous hits. | |
| Kate Moss and Pete Doherty want to recreate John Lennon and Yoko Ono's infamous bed-in at Glastonbury this weekend. The couple reportedly plan to stage the peace protest on the acoustic stage as part of the Babyshambles singer's solo set at the legendary Somerset music festival. A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Pete is playing the festival with Babyshambles and also taking on an acoustic set under his own steam. He asked Kate to join him and they both thought it would be nice to do something different - more of an installation that a straightforward performance. | |
| Yoko Ono is reluctant to write her autobiography because she is worried it will hurt people close to The Beatles. The 74-year-old singer - the widow of murdered former Beatle John Lennon - admits she will have to tread carefully with her memoirs, to avoid upsetting the Fab Four's children and families. She said: "I want to write my autobiography one day, but still don't have the time. Also, there are things that I can't write because it may hurt someone. I think about how it might hurt (their) children, and I don't want to do that." | |
| Sir Paul McCartney laughed off Oasis' claims they would be "bigger than The Beatles". The Fab Four legend pities musicians who try to compete with The Beatles' success. Paul told Newsweek magazine: "When they started out, Oasis boasted that they were going to be bigger than The Beatles. And I felt sorry for them. It's a prediction that just doesn't come true. It's a fatal prediction. I sort of sit back and go, 'Good luck, son.'" | |
| John Lennon stopped wife Yoko Ono from aborting their only son Sean. Ono was unsure if she should keep the unborn child because it was conceived shortly after the couple were reunited after splitting up for 18 months in the early '70s. She told BBC Radio 4's "Desert Island Discs," "I know it sounds strange now but I thought, well, I should let John decide whether to keep it or not. | |
