John Goodman has completed a secret stint in rehab. The 'Monsters, Inc.' star voluntarily spent time in Malibu's Promises Treatment Center - which has also treated stars including Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears - in order to "remain sober for his family."
Goodman said in a statement: "For my family and myself, I voluntarily took the necessary steps to remain sober for the rest of my life."
The exact nature of the 55-year-old actor's addiction has not been disclosed, and it is unknown when he checked in or out of the facility.
Goodman won an Emmy award earlier this year for a guest appearance in TV show 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip'. He is best known for playing beer-guzzling Dan Conner in hit sitcom 'Roseanne' from 1988 to 1997.
Goodman can soon be heard voicing a character in 'Bee Movie' alongside Renée Zellweger and Jerry Seinfeld. The film follows a bee who has just graduated from college, and is set for release later this year.
