"Walk The Line" star Joaquin Phoenix had more than a fender bender when his breaks went out, causing his car to overturn on Canyon Road. Lucky for the Golden Globe winner, he was not injured, and he was helped out of the car by a passerby.
Thirty-one year old Joaquin was traveling eastbound above Sunset Strip about 3 PM when he realized his breaks were not working. At that point, he lost control of his car causing the accident.
Earlier this month, the star won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for portraying country legend Johnny Cash. He has also been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award, which will take place on Sunday.
Joaquin's agent assures fans that he will definitely attend the ceremony, despite the accident.
