Joan Rivers is looking for love on the internet. The 72-year-old star, with the help of her assistant Matt Stewart, has created a profile on popular dating website Match.com to find her perfect guy.

The profile lists the comedienne as looking for a man between the ages of 65 and 75.

However, so far her search for cyber love has not gone according to plan. Rivers - whose late husband, British producer Edgar Rosenberg, committed suicide in 1987 - revealed: "We were hoping to meet Mr. Right. We didn't even get a wink.

"Maybe there is somebody sitting out there in the east side of New York who's right for me."

Rivers, who has a grown-up daughter, Melissa, has also joked that she has two "eggs in the refrigerator" for any potential suitors desperate to be dads.

She quipped to America's USA Today newspaper: "Not right now, but I got two eggs in the refrigerator. I should have written, 'Not right now unless it is very, very important to you'."
