Former soap star Joan Collins says there are dozens of young stars that are good role models, but there are also "pop tarts" parents should steer their daughters away from.
Collins, 74, cites Emily Blunt, Ellen Page, and Anne Hathaway as few of the good role models Hollywood currently has.
Contactmusic.com quotes her as saying, "The icons are younger now but there are plenty of them who are not pop tarts - Anne Hathaway, for one... Emily Blunt, Ellen Page in Juno. And there are dozens more."
"It's just that the tabloids go after those girls who exhibit more outrageous behavior. And believe me, those girls love it. They call in items themselves... I can't think of anything more horrible than that. Publicity can be a drug."
Collins also says she's repulsed every time she sees tabloid pictures of stars without their underwear.
She continues, "No normal girl goes out and lets photographers shoot at that angle. It's bizarre."
"We have these girls in England, glamour models, and they will flash their breasts in a desperate attempt to get their photos in the paper."
