There is always room for another diva and Jennifer Hudson is beginning to fill the very big shoes.
The star has gone from a C-list celebrity to an Oscar winner in under a year and the fast track to worldwide fame may have gone to her head.
Despite winning the Sammy Davis Jr. award at the Soul Train awards, the former "American Idol" contestant had decided not to go. However, her planned absence did not impress the producers or mogul Clive Davis.
A source said, "Jennifer called Friday and said she couldn't make it. That must have caused some issues as 'Soul Train' producer Don Cornelius immediately called Clive Davis, the legendary J Records mogul who created the careers of Whitney Houston, Alicia Keyes and dozens of other artists. Clive called Jennifer and read her the riot act. He said, 'Get you're a** out to L.A.' and then hung up on her."
Davis' words must have woken the "Dreamgirls" star up and she graciously accepted an award for entertainer of the year at the ceremony.
