Pictures surfaced on the Internet Monday of pop star Jessica Simpson visiting U.S. troops in Kuwait. They were followed by rumors that Simpson was entertaining the troops, but doing it diva style. Her rep has denied the rumors.
Simpson, 27, who usually travels with an entourage including her hair dresser Ken Paves was said to have the whole gang with her in Kuwait as part of the Operation MySpace tour. Rumors also circulated that Simpson flew in a private jet and did not intend on staying in the barracks.
Her rep, Cindi Berger, says that is not true, that the singer flew commercially, spent the whole day with the troops and had her meals with them. Her hairstylist, Ken Paves, did not accompany her.
Berger also said that entertaining the troops is something near and dear to the singer. "This was done purely to support the troops and entertain them."
