Jessica Simpson is praying her busted nose goes "back to normal." The singer-and-actress injured her conk while shooting new film 'Major Movie Star', in which she plays a Hollywood star who joins the army, and has revealed the swelling still hasn't gone down.
She told In Touch Weekly magazine: "It's still all bruised and swollen. The magic of make-up is doing wonders. Hopefully, when the swelling goes down, my nose will go back to normal."
However, a representative for Jessica - who hurt her nose after accidentally hitting herself in the face with a gun - insists it is only badly bruised, not broken.
The rep' said: "Her nose is not broken, she did not have to have it reset."
"She bruised it badly on the set of 'Major Movie Star' about two weeks ago. She was in a combat scene and accidentally hit herself with a big gun on her nose. But she was able to continue shooting the movie."
To prepare for the role, Jessica, 27, actually endured real grueling boot camp training with the U.S. army, and despite her nasal mishap is still doing many of her own stunts.
The movie also stars 'Police Academy' actor Steve Guttenberg and is scheduled to be released mid-2008.
