Jessica Simpson is obviously feeling much happier with herself after shedding some pounds.

The stunning and single star has lost 20 pounds since splitting from boyfriend John Mayer and has revealed her secret while launching her new bikini range.

The singer, actress and designer has admitted that she has to diet to get her body bikini-ready for summer.

She told "Extra", "It's not a quick change, it's a lifestyle change. There are still cheat days!"

The 26-year-old star has been working out closely with a trainer and eating five small meals a day on the "Five Factor Diet" which offers such delicacies as bison burgers and Cuban-style shredded beef.

The weight loss seems to have helped Jess with her confidence level. The "With You" singer and ex-wife of Nick Lachey told Harper's Bazaar magazine that she has thrown away her sweat pants and embraced her natural appearance.

She said, "I was always the girl who wore sweat pants and baseball caps to not be intimidating but now I've learned to embrace beauty as part of my career, as part of my inner soul, as part of who I am."
