Justin Timberlake has spent $60,000 on jewelry for his girlfriend Jessica Biel. The singer splashed out the huge sum on a pair of Montblanc diamond earrings and a bespoke diamond Chanel J12 watch and presented them to the 27-year-old actress before the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York on Monday.

A source said: "Justin splashed out on the trinkets to show his devotion."

Justin Timberlake forced girlfriend Jessica Biel to down shots of alcohol at the weekend. The pop heartthrob and the actress were guests at two separate birthday parties on Saturday night, both held in Los Angeles' Thompson Hotel.

A few hours into the evening Jessica, 27, was ready to ditch alcoholic refreshments and switch to soft drinks, but 28-year-old Justin wanted to carry on frivolities.

After their meal, the pair - who set up a home together in New York - went to see comedian Will Ferrell's one-man show "You're Welcome America. A Final Night With George W. Bush."

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have moved into a New York apartment together.

The couple - who have been dating for two years - were spotted carrying clothes and bags into their new Manhattan apartment on Monday Feb 16th.

Justin's mother Lynn Harless confirmed: "The apartment is great. He's loving it!"
