Jessica Simpson's latest relationship has been given the seal of approval from two pop singers.
The starlet's sister Ashlee and friend Christina Milian have both given the nod to John Mayer.
Jessica, who filed for divorce from Nick Lachey in 2005, has been dating singer/songwriter Mayer for eight months and recently returned from a romantic Roman vocation with him.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the younger Simpson is excited about the romance.
A friend said, "Ashlee loves John. She thinks he is great for her. More importantly, Jess is happy."
Milian, meanwhile, is equally as eager about the celeb couple.
She recently said, "This is a relationship that's not for the cameras. It's not about celebrity. It seems like they truly have an attraction to each other."
Jessica's relationship with Lachey was frequently questioned, especially by her manager/father Joe, who reportedly did not approve of or like the singer.
