Jermaine Jackson has recommended to his brother Michael that he convert to the Muslim faith.

The U.K "Celebrity Big Brother" runner-up says that the religion has helped him and he believes it could do good for his "King of Pop" brother.

Jermaine said that practicing his religion in the reality TV show house gave him the patience to pull through.

He said, "If I didn't have Allah and my prayer rug, I would not have survived, and the reason why is because it kept me focused, it kept me calm."

With Michael's legal and financial woes of late, Jermaine says becoming a Muslim would be perfect for him.

He continued, "Michael, I feel, needs to become a Muslim because I think it's a great protection for him from all the things that he's been attacked with, which are false. There's strength and a protection there."

The former "Jackson 5" member added he has already given Michael advice. He said, "I brought him a lot of books, and he reads everything and he reads a lot. I think he's probably given it serious thought because he's spent a lot of time in Bahrain. I was the reason why he had gone there because I wanted him to get out of America and just go somewhere peaceful and quiet, where people pray five times a day. It's a beautiful thing."

Michael reportedly became a fan of the British reality show and was proud of his brother's performance.
