Jennifer Lopez has really become a victim of fashion.

The singing and acting diva is reportedly worried after she received death threats from animal-rights activists over her continuing decision to wear real animal fur in the name of style.

The New York Daily News newspaper has quoted a friend, who claims that Jennifer and her husband Marc Anthony have added to their already beefy security unit.

The friend said, "He has hired two off-duty police officers, in addition to her usual security team, to watch over Lopez whenever she makes public appearances."

However, the "Love Don't Cost A Thing" singer's rep denies that more security has been hired to keep Jennifer safe from protestors with more than red paint.

Ironically, despite receiving death threats from the activist, a PETA spokesperson has branded all violence "wrong."The spokesperson told the newspaper, "All violence is wrong. But J.Lo needs to stop the real violence she promotes and subsidizes rather than give herself extra protection she doesn't need."
