Jennifer Garner may be a Golden Globe winner, wife of Ben Affleck and mother to daughter Violet, but she hasn't forgotten where she came from.
The actress has been named West Virginian of the Year by her home state.
The U.S state's newspaper, Charleston's Sunday Gazette-Mail revealed that Jennifer has been given the top honor.
The newspaper said that Mrs Affleck received the award, "For her dedication, work ethic and unique role as role model and ambassador for West Virginia."
Jennifer confirmed her connection to West Virginia, saying that she still enjoys going home. She said, "I like to do the things that are familiar. I like to see people I grew up with. I always go to Taylor Books. I love going home to my church - Christ Church United Methodist. I probably visit a Dairy Queen, and I love the farmer's market."
Jennifer was also named Glamour magazine's Woman Of The Year.
