Jennifer Garner is set to star in a Broadway show. The 'Alias' actress is in negotiations to star opposite Kevin Kline in a New York stage production of 'Cyrano de Bergerac.'
Jennifer will play a French socialite called Roxanne - who the romantic, but large-nosed, soldier Bergerac is secretly in love with. Steve Martin starred as Bergerac in the 1987 movie adaptation of the play, called 'Roxanne.'
This will not be the first time Jennifer has appeared on Broadway. The 35-year-old star, who is married to Ben Affleck, previously starred in a series of theater productions, landing mostly musical roles.
After finishing college, she worked as an understudy for a Broadway staging of 'A Month in the Country.' Jennifer then decided to move to TV and shot to fame after winning the role of Sydney Bristow in hit drama series 'Alias.'
'Cyrano de Bergerac,' which is set to be directed by David Leveaux, will open in October and run for 10 weeks.
Jennifer - who has a 20-month-old daughter, Violet, with Ben - was recently said to be planning to launch a TV show for mothers. She was set to reveal all about her marriage and motherhood in the series described as 'The View' for moms.
Jennifer's next big screen appearance hits cinemas next month. She stars alongside Jamie Foxx in new thriller 'The Kingdom.'
