Penelope Cruz and director Pedro Almodovar feel like lovers. The actress and the gay movie maker have collaborated on several films - most recently "Broken Embraces" - and know each other so well they are practically in a relationship.

Pedro said: "There is something that works really well in our relationship that combines both our friendship and the professional side. We operate like lovers. So while we don't have the pleasure of sex, we don't have the complications of sex either. We work really well as a couple who don't sleep together."

Penelope Cruz is reportedly pregnant. The Spanish actress is said to be expecting her first child with long-term boyfriend Javier Bardem.

A source is quoted by website Just Jared as saying: "Penelope is about four months pregnant. She's really healthy now and will be a great mother."

Penelope Cruz always expects to be "fired" when starring in a film. The 35-year-old actress - who won this year's Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as Maria Elena in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" - admits she lacks confidence in her abilities as an actress.

He insists that the film star should make room in her filming schedule to visit Hindu temples. Zed adds, "A deeper study of Hinduism would complement her interest in yoga and other things Indian."
