In between changing diapers and breastfeeding, Jaime Pressly has had plenty of time to ponder the merits of motherhood.
The "My Name Is Earl" actress has recently given birth to a beautiful baby boy, Dezi, but it is her own beauty that has been bothering her. She has revealed that pregnancy for her wasn't all it is cracked up to be and she actually hated it.
She said, "As a new mom, I'm supposed to go on about how wonderful it was to be pregnant. Well, I don't buy into that. The truth is that I love my baby to bits, but the rest of it sucked. Pregnancy was the biggest killer for me. I hated it - I hated being fat."
"On top of that, I had this hideous 'pregnancy mask' skin discoloration which completely covered my face. You can normally use creams to disguise it, but not when you're pregnant, so I had to walk around looking like I was horribly disfigured. This may sound arrogant, but I'm used to looking hot. I just wanted to cry all the time. Nobody tells you this stuff when you talk about having a baby - it's all kept as one big secret."
But the stunning star has a plan to regain her famously toned body. Jaime has set a date and goal for herself to ensure she is back into super tight clothing as quickly as possible.
She revealed, "I'm having a party and then a [vacation] and I aim to be in a super-slutty outfit for the first and a swimsuit for the second. I love being a mother, but I want to be a super sexy mother with a better body than ever before...I want to look in the mirror and like what I see. People may think it's [crazy] but it makes me happier to see my body coming back."
But despite her complaints on pregnancy, Jaime has an issue with women who skip the process and adopt their children. An increasing number of Hollywood stars are adopting children - including Angelina Jolie, Calista Flockheart and Sharon Stone - and Jaime believes it is because of laziness and a fear of thunder thighs.
She said, "Some women just skip having babies or adopt because they don't want to get fat or they haven't put in the time to find a partner. It's great to adopt, but a lot of adoptions are motivated by vanity and laziness."
With her superficial views on beauty, it is no surprise that Jaime isn't a fan of "Ugly Betty". Despite the hit comedy becoming a voice for insecure fans around the world, Jaime believes it is sending mixed messages.
She said, "They're purposefully big-upping the ugly fat girl to make everybody feel great, but it also glamorizes the fact that people are getting plastic surgery because they can. It's really bizarre."
