Michael Jackson wants Eminem to help him resurrect his ailing pop career.
The eccentric star has reportedly tried to contact the rapper to talk about collaborating - despite the fact Eminem infamously mocked him in the video for his hit single "Just Lose It."
So far, Jackson hasn't received a response.
In 2004 Jackson threatened a lawsuit and labeled Eminem a racist during a feud over Eminem's "Just Lose It" music video. Jackson is lampooned by Eminem by dancing on a bed with young boys, losing his fake nose on a dancefloor and setting his hair on fire.
The "Billie Jean" singer recently revealed he was ready to re-launch his career with a new album.
Jackson - who has signed a record deal with Two Seas Records, the label of Bahrain Prince Abdulla Hamad Alkhalifa - is currently in the studio working on new material.
The pop superstar, who has been living in Bahrain since being acquitted of child sex abuse charges last year, hopes the LP will finally let him put the turmoil of the last few years behind him.
In a statement, he said: "I am incredibly excited about my new venture and enjoying being back in the studio."
The album will be the artist's first effort since 2001's 'Invincible'.
