Jackass Star Says Booze Keeping Him From Authoring

Johnny Knoxville has revealed he is trying to pen a novel - but keeps getting sidetracked by whiskey.

The 'Dukes of Hazzard' heartthrob said his weakness for booze is stopping him from one of his favorite hobbies - writing.

He revealed to Britain's Maxim magazine: "I've started writing a novel, but when you hear about an actor writing a novel, you want to shoot yourself.

Knoxville adds, "I would like to go back to writing, but whiskey always gets in the way. I ruined myself on Tennessee whiskey by the time I was 15. Whiskey usually brings out the best or worst in me."
