Jack Osbourne confesses the reason why he started taking drugs. The son of rock music hell raiser, Ozzy Osbourne, started experimenting with narcotics at the age of 12 because they helped him block his feeling of being isolated and low self-esteem.
"I was this fat kid with big specs in Hollywood, where everyone is beautiful, and I dealt with that by making myself look like a teenage freak. I do know that inside me I wanted to be someone else," says Jack.
The 20-year-old who is best known for MTV's hit reality show "The Osbournes" says he has replaced drugs with a new thrill-seeking addiction.
He told Britain's Sunday Live magazine, "You could say I've swapped one addiction for another. But I am so much more in control. I'd rather be facing one of the most dangerous physical feats in the world than getting out of my head. I really was killing myself back then and it was all pointless."
