Jennifer Lopez is expecting twins. The 'Waiting For Tonight' singer's father has confirmed the rumors that J. Lo is carrying two kids.
"Yes, twins," the dad, David Lopez, says in an interview with 'Escandalo TV.' The father also says that it's not surprising since twins run in their family. "The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it's a hereditary thing."
The proud grandfather-to-be shares his excitement over the news, he has even bought gifts for the upcoming babies. "I'm very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years," he says. "In Puerto Rico it's custom to buy an azabache (black stone) bracelet for babies to protect them from the evil eye, it's part of our culture."
J. Lo is pregnant with her first children with husband Marc Anthony, who she married In June 2004. They announced their pregnancy last November after months of speculations.
