Jonathan Rhys Meyers shocked onlookers by getting steamy with a beautiful brunette at a New York nightclub. The 'Match Point' actor arrived and his date Reena Hammer headed straight for a couch in a dimly lit area of The Plumm nightspot.
Jonathan and Reena - who is the daughter of make-up artist Ruby Hammer - then began passionately kissing in front of a crowd of revelers.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "It was really a scene. She straddled him, and they were at it for some time."
After their make-out session, Jonathan and Reena left the club without even buying a drink or dancing.
Meanwhile, the Irish actor has landed a starring role on U.S. TV as British womanizing monarch Henry VIII. The much-anticipated 'The Tudors' will focus on Henry's early reign and portrays him as a pugnacious and arrogant king who seduces beautiful women.
A source said: "We don't want the traditional King Henry, all fat and chewing on a rib. Rhys Meyers is sexier than that. He looks fantastic."
