Hugh Grant has made a name for himself in romantic comedy but in real life he has played a part in the ultimate rags to riches story.
Like a plot from "Pretty Woman", Hugh has turned Los Angeles prostitute Divine Brown into a millionaire. The former streetwalker picked up Hugh in 1995 and was caught 'working' on him in the back of a BMW.
The fame she received after the incident with the Hollywood star earned her millions of dollars from interviews and appearances. Once struggling to pay rent, Divine was able to give her daughters a private Beverly Hills education, living in a mansion and drive around in a Rolls Royce and Mercedes.
Divine told London's The Daily Mail, "I just wanted the best for my children and I didn't want them to struggle as hard as I had, so I did what I had to do."
The star's former partner, "Gangsta" Brown, holds "Love Actually" star Hugh responsible for the family's good fortune. He said, "I love Hugh Grant. Hugh Grant put my kids through school, gave us a chance of the life we probably would've never reached. If I can meet him and shake his hand all I would like to say is: 'Thank you. If there is anything I can do in return I would love to be a friend'."
The incident didn't have so much luck for Hugh. His relationship with Elizabeth Hurley began to crumble quickly after she found out about his bad-boy antics.
