Hugh Grant is no stranger to getting in trouble with the law - or for getting very frisky with a prostitute in the past. This time around the actor is behind bars for letting his anger out by using a can of beans as his powerful venting weapon.
It has been confirmed that the actor was arrested on Wednesday after he threw a can of beans at a paparazzi. Grant was upset over who-knows-what and lashed out at the "innocent" photographer who was trying to take a snapshot of him. However, photographer Ian Whittaker kept his cool until the actor allegedly told him he hoped his daughter died of cancer.
Next thing you know Grant had charges filed against him, and after an investigation and talking to him for an hour, police officers arrested the "Notting Hill" actor on suspicion of assault.
According to Life Style Extra, a Scotland Yard spokesperson confirmed the incident saying, "A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection to an incident in Redcliffe Road, South Kensington, on Tuesday April 24th. He was arrested at around 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday night after allegations of assault. He was taken to a central London police station.
"He has been bailed and will return on a date in May. Officers will be making further inquiries when the man returns."
Hopefully the "man" has learned that attacking somebody with a can of baked beans will simply leave them protruding a foul odor.
