Hollywood's now most famous British residents, soccer star David Beckham, his wife Victoria, and their three sons, were given a spectacular welcoming party to their new home over the weekend, thrown by Hollywood heavyweights Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
Stars such as Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were also on hand to co-host the party, which was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles Sunday evening.
Invitations, printed in gold lettering, asked guests to "Please join Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith in welcoming David and Victoria Beckham to Los Angeles."
The high-profiled Beckham family, who were both media darlings and paparazzi targets in Britain and Spain, moved to California earlier this month after David signed a multi-million dollar contract to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. Victoria, whose reality special, "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America," aired earlier this week and was given lukewarm reviews by critics, is said to be aspiring to launch her fashion career while Stateside.
David, meanwhile, made his LA Galaxy debut against Chelsea on Saturday and took the field with only thirteen minutes left of the game due to an ankle injury he had earlier sustain.
