She's no Ashlee. Hilary Duff slams reports that she had been caught lip-synching during a concert in Mexico last weekend. The former Disney star's camp blames the incident on a technical setback.

"She was not lip-synching. It was faulty equipment. There was no sound coming out, but she was singing," her rep denies.

Hilary Duff is a self-confessed "murderer". The animal-loving singer confessed she accidentally killed her pet hermit crab when she was younger after leaving him out in the sun.

Hilary said: "When I was young, I was given a hermit crab. Its shell was painted with spots. I left him outside to get some sun, but when I picked him up the next day, he'd jellified. It was disgusting. I'm a murderer!"

Very pregnant Nicole Richie may become a new mom by next week. According to boyfriend Joel Madden's older brother, Josh, the 'Simple Life' star is expected to labor "sometime in the next week."

"That's all we know. We don't know what [gender] it is. We don't know any names. I'm being completely honest. I swear!" the eldest Madden tells reporters at the FUZE/Resolution Slenderize bash in Hollywood Wednesday night.

While young girls look up to her, Miley Cyrus has her own role model she admires. The 15-year-old Hannah Montana star confides to Oprah Winfrey that she looks up to five years older Hilary Duff.

When asked why the former Lizzie McGuire star, Cyrus explains, "Because she's someone I got to watch, and I'm like, 'Hey, she's a normal girl.'"

"I'm definitely not ready to get married. I think a reason that people in this business get married young is that they feel like everything comes to them sooner in life. It's normal to be like, 'Okay, what's next?'"
