Hilary Duff has abandoned her squeaky clean image in the new film "War Inc."

The former "Lizzie Maguire" star is hoping her role as an outrageous Middle Eastern pop star Yonica Babyyeah in the movie will let her be recognized as an adult.

Actress Hilary Duff grew up on the Disney Channel as the lead role in the show "Lizzie McGuire," before going on to become a film star and pop singer. Despite being in show business for most of her life, the star still doesn't feel comfortable with competition from her fellow celebrities.

She talks about her competition, and her desire not to be mixed up in it, in the May issue of Allure. Duff, 20, also appears on the cover of the magazine.
