Hilary Duff has denied claims she slammed Nicole Richie in her song "Gypsy Woman."
The teen star's lyrics were believed to be a scathing attack directed at herex-lover Joel Madden's new girlfriend Nicole, but Hilary insists this is nottrue.
Hilary told US People magazine: "It's not my job to talk about myrelationship. But the more you try to keep it quiet, the more people want toknow about it."
The 19-year-old actress and singer dated Joel from 2004 until November 2006.
Hilary - who shot to fame as the star of the hit U.S. TV show "Lizzie McGuire" - also spoke of the pressure she feels to be thin since she became famous.
Hilary said although she has never had a problem with her weight, she feelspeople can be "judgmental and mean."
She said: "If you don't like the way you look or feel insecure, when peoplesay things about you - in magazines or just in everyday life - they can behurtful. But you'll never make them happy."
