Helen Mirren is learning Hebrew. The 63-year-old actress - who plays a Jewish spy in upcoming film "The Debt" - is so serious about her latest role she has spent weeks in Israel studying the ancient language.

Helen - who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Britain's Queen Elizabeth in 2006 film "The Queen" - is also researching Israeli history, Nazism and the Mossad spy organization.

Dame Helen Mirren has never wanted children. "The Queen" actress confessed that although she does not mind looking after youngsters every once in a while, she is always pleased when they are collected by their mother and father.

She told the Sunday Times Magazine: "I've never been hugely maternal, but I've always loved children as an aunt, a naughty aunt. I'm very happy to be able to give children back to their parents... Not that I've actually ever been alone with them."

Samuel L. Jackson has a crush on Dame Helen Mirren. The "Pulp Fiction" star revealed he is a massive fan of the 63-year-old British actress and watches her films almost obsessively.

Samuel, 59, said: "I'll watch anything with Helen Mirren in it - especially when she was young. I mean, come on! I love Helen. I watch 'The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover' at least four times a year."

"The Queen" actress is set to portray the owner of The Mustang Ranch, Nevada's first legalized brothel in her new movie "Love Ranch," which is directed by her spouse Taylor Hackford - who was insistent Helen thoroughly researched her role.

Dame Helen Mirren has a crush on Russell Brand. The 63-year-old actress was flattered by Russell's recent flirtatious praise for her and has returned the compliment.

She said: "I heard he fancies me. I fancy Russell too."
