Heather Mills wasn't clearly a favorite at the Miss USA pageant when she judged the competition. Some of the audience had booed the former model when she was introduced Friday.
The ex-wife of Sir Paul McCartney had raised her eyebrows in surprise when she had received jeers from the audience members while her name was being called as one of the judges. Mills had been invited by organizer Donald Trump to help choose the winner in the contest.
He had explained his reason to People for asking Mills, "I think America needs more Heather Mills."
However, some Americans beg to differ as evident on their reaction during the live broadcast on TV.
Mills had said about her task, "I did one of these competitions a long, long time ago. And it's a lot of work, people don't understand they look for this and work for this for years and years and years."
"Really, really difficult job this, but twenty times harder to walk out there and be brave enough."
Meanwhile, her former husband seems to be celebrating his recent divorce. According to reports, the Beatles legend is considering a world tour as a way to celebrate his freedom from Mills.
A source was quoted by transworldnews.com, "Paul's made happy by his family and his music. He sees this as a kind of celebration that the messy episode with Heather is over.
"Dates for the autumn are likely to be finalized next month and fans can expect to see an amazing show."
