Hayden Panettiere is looking for someone "driven." The 'Heroes' actress tells Seventeen magazine in a new interview that she needs a man to have ambition.
"I have to be with someone who is very driven," the 18-year-old actress says. "When they're not, it becomes difficult."
Panettiere, who is currently dating her co-star Milo Ventimiglia, explains why her relationship with reality TV star Stephen Colletti didn't work out.
"I knew I was at the point where I knew I needed to figure things out. I needed to learn more about myself because I'm a little confused at the moment. And I don't think I could every fully give myself to somebody until I do."
The animal rights activist also shares the lesson she had learned in splitting from someone, and that is to do it "the second [it] pops into your head. Because the longer you wait, the more difficult it becomes, for you and the other person. And in the end, it just turns into a mess."
