Daniel Radcliffe's life is in danger. The well being of the "Harry Potter" star is being taken seriously after he received a death threat from a stalker, sources say.
The 18-year-old actor had been traumatized by the threat that he had hired four ex-SAS (Special Air Service Regiment) bodyguards to safeguard him. His own driver for seven years has been put off until further notice.
An insider said: "There is a real concern for Daniel's welfare. The bigwigs haven't said what has been going on. It's all hush-hush - but security has been massively ramped up."
It is reported that the threat, which is still vague as to its content, was sent through Warner Bros. Radcliffe is now receiving the same protection as those given to Prince William and Prince Harry.
The source added regarding the SAS guards, "They are all experts in evasive driving, threat assessment and close protection. This isn't about keeping an eye out for the paparazzi - these guys are looking for something far more sinister."
