The hair salon where pop star Britney Spears shaved her hair off has apparently set up a website to auction her locks. The website, buybritneyshair.com, has put the minimum offer for the damsel's locks as low as $1 million.
The "Hit Me Baby One More Time" singer created ripples on Friday after news of her drastic cut at Esther's Hair Studio in California deluged the Internet forums.
The website claims to have been set up by salon owner Esther Tognozzi and offers bidders an "opportunity of a lifetime" and "a piece of history that can not be duplicated."
The Website also includes photos of the hair, which it says are "absolutely authentic." The winning bidder will also get the clipper Spears used to shear off her hair, a blue lighter she left at the salon and the can of Red Bull she was drinking at the time.
The winner is given the choice to remain anonymous or to use it as a publicity stunt.
According to the Website, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to various unnamed charities.
Meanwhile, Spears has been spotted in Hollywood sporting a short blonde wig and recently returned to rehab.
